Employee Referral Process
Good people like you are hard to find! We have found that employee referrals are one of the most successful ways to attract top Refrigeration and HVAC professional talent. Our employee referral program (ERP) allows you to easily make candidate referrals.
Why should I refer someone? An employee referral program is a great way to find talented and energetic people like you, while rewarding you for it! The goal of this referral program is to attract qualified candidates who are seeking a career, and would be a good fit for Source. In order for Source to continue to be “The Employer of Choice!” and maintain its reputation for being a premier employer, we need to continue to build upon our talented team.

How to refer a friend or colleague:
In addition to these two simple steps, please carefully read the participation guidelines.
Referring Party:The person making the referral must send an email to:HR@sourcerefrigeration.com with the name and contact information of the person they are referring, or fill out the Referral Form and return it to Human Resources at 800 E. Orangethorpe Ave., Anaheim, CA 92801(our corporate offices).Whichever method you choose, you are required to state how you know the applicant.
Referred Applicant: The person being referred must list the name of the referring party when prompted in their application.
Both of the steps above must be completed before the referral’s first 30 days of employment with Source Refrigeration & HVAC in order for you to qualify for the referral bonus.
Program Rules:
- You must personally know the individual you refer. You must describe in the email
or on the form how you know this applicant. The person may not have been a prior Source employee. - Applicant may not have a prior resume or application on file with Source.
- The referring (employee) person’s name must be on the application and the applicant must meet the designated job requirements to be considered a viable applicant.
- Source Human Resources reserves all rights to the rules, and awards of ERP are subject to the approval of Human Resources. The President will make all final appeal decisions. All forms received will be date stamped. If more than one person refers the same applicant, the first email or form received will be awarded the referral bonus.

Q. I just encouraged my friend to apply for a position with Source, but I think that she has actually worked for us before. Will this qualify me for participation in the Employee Referral Program?
A. Unfortunately this type of referral will not qualify for the bonus. Encouraging past talent is appreciated though.
Q. I just applied for a position with Source. I am so excited about the opportunity that I would like to tell a friend of mine to apply as well. Even though I am not yet employed with Source, can I still participate in the Employee Referral Program?
A. You can refer a potential employee even if you are not yet an employee, but you will not be eligible for the referral bonus.Once you are hired, you are eligible for an award through ERP.
Q. I recently told someone about a position with Source and it turns out that they were just hired. I think they put my name on the application but I didn’t contact Source to let them know about my referral before the person started. Am I still eligible for the bonus?
A. Yes, as long as you have the email or form submittedwithin their first 30 days of employment. We are offering this bonus to Source employees nationwide, so we must remain consistent in how we run the program from market to market and position to position. Therefore, we can only pay referral bonuses for those who have completed both steps of the process and met the program rules.
Rules and Guidelines
- Before filling out any forms, please make sure to read and take note of these important participation rules and guidelines:
- All employees are eligible except for Source HR staff, Senior Management (Directors and above) and the hiring manager.
- Referrals from applicants are welcomed and encouraged. However, bonuses for referrals will only be paid to referrers once they are employed by Source.
- This program is designed for external hires only and does not apply to internal applicants.
- All referral bonuses are considered taxable income and will be subject to tax withholding.
- Both the referrer and the referral must be employed by Source at time of payout.
- In order to be eligible for the referral bonus, you must refer applicants whom have not worked for or had a work relationship (temp, contractor, preceptor, past employee, temp to full time, referred by employment agencies, etc.) with Source.
- If more than one employee refers a candidate, the first email or form submitted receives the referral bonus.
- Source may modify and change the ERP at any time and makes final decisions on any matter concerning program rules, including bonus eligibility.
- Awards will not be given to an employee who has not emailed or submitted the ERP form with the referral’s information within 30 days of the referral beginning employment with Source.
- The Employee Referral Program may be amended or discontinued at any time based on the sole discretion of management.
- If a referring employee is on a Leave of Absence at the time of either bonus payout, the date of the payout will be postponed until the employee returns from their Leave of Absence
- This revised program starts October 1, 2009. All referral forms turned in prior to October 1, 2009 fall under the previous program’s rules and regulations.
